weekend pictures {sadie's surprise}

A few more pictures from my weekend spent in Indiana + Illinois for Sadie's surprise party...

Sadie's adorable daughter, Maia, all decked out in a new bathing suit and eating ice cream to celebrate her mom's b-day. I find it hard to believe that just a little less than 14 months ago she looked like this. They sure do grow up fast!

This precious thing is Lainey, my friend Shannon's baby girl. She is truly the best baby I've ever been around. Happy ALL of the time! Needless to say, I fell head over heels and after spending a few days with her, I really miss her chubby cheeks, cute smile and contagious squeals of delight!

Shannon & Sadie with their gorgeous little girls. I can't wait to watch them both grow up (Lainey + Maia, not Shannon + Sadie!) It was a blast to see my friends as the incredible moms they are!!

Sadie giving some love to her husband, Miles, who is the one who orchestrated this enormous surprise as everyone sang "Happy Birthday."
So sweet...

Shannon, Sadie, Me & Tracy

Group shot of who was still around Saturday morning after we finished breakfast and were about to bid adieu.
{L to R: Me, Shannon + Lainey, Gavin + Sadie, Sadie's mom, Tracy, Miles + Maia}

Shannon + Tracy after hitting a sweet sale at the Betsey Johnson boutique in Chicago. Timing truly is everything...the boutique is relocating and most everything was 50 - 75% off! They both picked up some gorgeous pieces! Don't worry, although I didn't find anything at Betsey Johnson, I did find a drop dead gorgeous pair of heels at Cynthia Rowley (at a huge discount I might add!) -- thank goodness for the check I received for being an extra!

What great pictures and certainly seems like everyone including Sadie was having a great time. Thanks so much for sharing. I love the pictures of the girls with their girls. That is neat.

What an amazing weekend! Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures, along with the ones of you guys shopping in Chicago. I can almost feel like I was there shopping too (although I missed out on the great bargains, boo). Better watch out, I'm going to get used to seeing you every month and start to expect it. Miss you!

It looks like a great time was had by all - except poor Sadie missed the shopping spree! I still remember my 40th birthdy surprise - do you Cyn? I know, I know - it was "eons" ago - ha! Hey, how far is it to Sadie's? Maybe you could find a half-way point, and every couple of months you could meet there!! MOM
