Lee and I just returned from a
very quick trip to NC where we helped Jordan celebrate her 8th grade graduation. The only graduation I had growing up was from high school and, truthfully, didn't really understand the significance of 8th grade graduation. Over the past few days I've learned that it
is a very big deal in places where you spend the years of K-8 at the same school. Lee remembers how exciting his was and since it was
really important to Jordan that we be there for the big day we used some miles to fly out and see her (thank goodness for miles!!) It turned out Lee's mom and sister were able to join us and it was such a GREAT day!!
The ceremony was sweet and I'd be lying if I said I didn't tear up when Jordan walked out in her gown. She looked so stinkin' grown up and I had a hard time believing it's been eight years since I first met her [holy cow, where has the time gone?!] After the ceremony we took the girls out for some dinner and celebratory dessert but not before snapping a few pics at Jordan's "old" school...

Lee with his sweet girls

Not my favorite pic but so happy to have it since I'm normally always behind the camera. [Look how tall Jordan's gotten...she's wearing flats and I'm in heels!]

Here's Jordan reacting as I read her report card [and comments] out loud - her expression cracks me up!

Chapel captured this one and I think it's my favorite!

Jordan + Natalie with their Aunt Chapel and Nana Connie

So sweet!

Speaking of sweet, check out Connie [my adorable mother-in-law] as she enjoyed the plethora of desserts we ordered to celebrate Jordan's big day [luckily for us, she shared!]
We caught a 5:40 am flight from Asheville this morning so I could be back in time for an event meeting and Lee could head to work. Even though we were in NC for a grand total of 17 hours and are both utterly exhausted, it was totally worth it!

What wonderful pictures! Jordan looks so grown up :( Like you, I can't believe they've grown so much in the short time we have known them! They are both such sweet and adorable girls. Congratulations, Jordan!! (P.S. Love your dress, and how did Connie, Chapel and Jordan manage to all have "matching" outfits?!)
I love Jordan's dress! It's so cute. Also, I had a graduation from 8th grade as well. I'd never heard of it before my own, and I still don't understand why they do it, but it was a big deal nonetheless.
Man this family has some beautiful women in it! Lee looks pretty handsome too!
I saw some of these on facebook last night and meant to comment. She's a cutie!
That was a whirlwind trip, but worthwhile to see Jordan look so adorable on her special day. I too noted how the 4 "women" were coordinated in their pink, black and white colors. Miss you all!
Great Pictures! Wow, have the girls grown up! That is just wonderful of you to put these out for us to view!! The girls look wonderful and so does Grandma!
I am so happy for your family. I fully expect tears tonight at my sister's graduation. There is just something about this silly graduation song...

I'm so glad you had a good time! Jordan does look beautiful, and the picture with the cupcake is my favorite too. :-)
