13 on thursday {los cabos iphone edition}

I thought it would be fun for the second edition of "13 on thursday" to be iphone photos I took while on vacation [I know it's getting old but please bear with me].

1. Our view from our spot on Day 2. In love. Didn't want to move.

2. Lee on Day 2 enjoying said view & reading. Very relaxed. That made me very happy.

3. Day 2 view from our perch [this time looking left]. Continued to be very smitten with both the view and my handsome hubby.

4. Tried to capture our bliss with my iphone. Not so easy to do [thereby explaining my funny + confused look].

5. The view from our casita on Day 3 [aka Lee's b-day]. Not a shabby way to wake up, no?

6. Breakfast was AMAZING every day [and bonus, it was included in our rate]. This is what Lee ate on his 44th birthday. Turned out to be his absolute favorite breakfast. Nice timing on his part.

7. My breakfast on his birthday [I had to help celebrate, right?] Hard to imagine but I actually moved the whipped cream aside [my mom will cringe when she reads that] and couldn't finish it. Very surprising given my love of sugar + carbs. And the smoothie you see in the corner? I became addicted to them on our trip. Learned on morning 2 that mango/papaya smoothies are a GREAT way to start the day. WAY yum!

8. Our view on Day 3 [Lee's b-day]. We spent most of the day here reading, napping, eating, and drinking. He decided that was a pretty perfect way to spend his birthday. I think I may have created some unrealistic expectations for the years to come.

9. Horrible picture from the book down [he looks like a beached whale & is so not as large as the angle makes him look!] but I love the contented look on his face so I had to share [he's cringing right now if he's reading this]. Guess it's one way to find out if he's still reading the blog.

10. The spa was another highlight of our vacation and by looking at this outdoor shower I think you can see why. I had a spa treatment on 2 days which resulted in 4 showers. Love.

11. If you follow me on twitter you know this was another one of my highlights. Seriously the BEST churros I've ever had [and Disneyland has some pretty good ones]. I may or may not have consumed these for dessert 3 out of the 5 nights we were there. Guess that explains why it's all about recipes from Cooking Light this week.

12. View from our spot on the last day. Please don't judge me by the pina colada you see. While Mexico is clearly for drinking tequila, I learned very quickly that real tequila kicks my butt and I had to resort to something a bit more doable. I quickly learned that it may not be the tequila that was kicking my butt but the heavy pour from the bartenders. Cheers!

13. Tune in tomorrow for "words to live by" for a very important tip I learned on this trip. Any guesses what that might be?

Laughed out loud at the picture of Lee. Well not really at the picture, but of your description. He does not look like a beached whale!!

Great pics, I'm glad you had such a wonderful time. Happy birthday Lee and Happy Anniversary Lee & Lou!
