los cabos {dinner on a cliff}

I'm fairly certain by now y'all are sick of seeing pictures from our vacation but given this is my way of remembering trips & sharing with my family, I'm gonna have to post these last few [please don't continue if you're tired of seeing paradise - don't worry, I won't hold it against you].

The resort where we stayed has a restaurant that has tables overlooking the Sea of Cortez. I saw various pictures on their website and was pretty smitten so I made a reservation for us for the second night of our stay. Lee wasn't exactly looking forward to it given it came with a "no shorts policy" and I was a bit nervous after reading some not-so-excellent reviews of the food. However, once we arrived on property and feasted our eyes on the setting neither one of us was hesitant and, in fact, we both began to really look forward to it.

Check out the picture below and tell me you wouldn't have been excited too...

I heard they reserved the best tables for those who planned ahead and made reservations and I can honestly say it was the best view we've EVER had. We had an unobstructed view of the sea and when you looked straight down you could actually almost feel the spray from the waves crashing against the rocks.

A sweet couple offered to take our picture and other than my hair having a funny spot where it was scrunched up against Lee, I think it's pretty darn nice. [Well that and my flabby arm - hmm...maybe I should have Tracie work her photoshop magic on that.] Hard to believe as I'm typing this that just a little over a week ago this is where we sat. Ahhh...

Other than my dessert [more on that later], I didn't love my food but with a view like this, who's gonna complain...

Not me, that's for sure. The above picture was taken as I looked directly down from where we sat. It really was pretty incredible.

And the sunset wasn't so bad either.

Cheers to you all for putting up with my plethora of vacation shots.

I wish for you the chance to visit a place that truly speaks to your heart & soul. Once you do, it will stay with you forever!

I've been loving your vacation shots! And yes. I've finally been to a place that just sticks in your heart...and it's worth everything it takes to get there. :)

P.S. Is that an anthro dress? I remember ogling that one in the store! :)

Absolutely beautiful! I'm like you...who cares about the food (was there good wine or champagne?) I love this picture - there is NO flab. Not too many pictures for me - I'd love to see more!! (But.....I'm the mom - ha!!)

It's taken me a bit but I'm now through all of the vacation photos, and I'm sooooo envious of this post particularly! What an amazing experience. I cannot think of anything more romantic.
